Most Irresistible Artisanal Pizza in Delhi to Eat Proudly Every Week

Paul knows breadmaking like no other restaurant chain. If the base is strong, the mountain of cheese will not be hard to build. Good thing though, Paul doesn’t like to overdose you on cheese, either. Yet, in my opinion, Paul is the real OG.

From serving an excellent menu featuring crowd favorites and authentic recipes to ensuring that no customer leaves with a frown, Paul is a star. It’s the food, it’s definitely the food, that people come back to try. But also, it’s the elegant simplicity with which they approach hospitality.

Recommended dishes: Croque Monsieur, Margherita Pizza and Mille-Feuille

Where else do you find a place that serves French macarons, pâtisseries, classic soups, awe-inspiring gourmet sandwiches and a gazillion types of egg preparations in India? Hardly, unless you have travelled from Kanyakumari to Jammu, and gone to every nook and cranny of the country, no. So that search for a simple, European experience is impossible for a city girl like me and many others. When I sit down at the café in Select Citywalk Mall in South Delhi, and read through their newspaper-sized menu which reminds me all about the age of the newspaper, I am transported back to France in a heartbeat. Now, that is auto-‘magic’. I only travelled 15 minutes for this experience.

The ladies and the men who don the chef caps and keep an eye on the customer incase they wish to order are not chefs-turned-F&B assistants. No no. They are the F&B team. What a quirky yet beautiful way to brand yourself, dear Paul. I cannot worship the Rs. 680 steal deal enough, which allows me to eat a pizza and order a beverage from the coffee, mocktail or lemonade section. It has become sort of tradition to go back to Paul every Thursday and buy me a Margherita pizza with affogato or the mocha. Sigh. These are the days, and Paul is the real OG, I bet on my life about it. I can do this over and over again, and let’s just hope that Paul continues to retain its magic for fans like me.

Margherita Pizza Portion: Enough for 1 or 2

Craving it? Check out the delicious menu at Paul, a French bakery and cafe that was established in rue de la Mackellerie Croix, the same year that Eiffel Tower opened to the public i.e 1889.
